Kristrún is based in our Iceland office and joined EFLA | Kevan Shaw Lighting Design in 2020. She graduated from the Lighting Design Bachelors programme at the University of South-East Norway having undertaken an internship with EFLA | Kevan Shaw Lighting Design for her work placement during her degree studies.

With aesthetic and technical focus on light and lighting, her interests lean towards nature and people’s well-being in their surroundings and how their perceptions can be altered with light and shade. 

She grew up and lives in the Icelandic countryside which strongly influences her work. Her former work experience lies within teaching, sports and a variety of other employment. Arts and crafts have always been a keen part time activity, glass and reflection being the latest source of inspiration and creativity. 

She speaks Icelandic, Norwegian, English and German.
