Joining EFLA | Kevan Shaw Lighting Design in October 2025, Iris brings an energetic mindset and a fresh perspective drawn from her multidisciplinary background in product design.

With a degree in Product Design from Edinburgh Napier University, she combines a multidisciplinary background in traditional art and contemporary design. Early studies in Italy provided a foundation in art and design, which she expanded in Scotland through a dual Art and Design college course before university.

Her experience as an art tutor highlighted the importance of light in how artwork is perceived, deepening her understanding of mood, depth, and atmosphere, a passion she continues to explore as a hobby. She is drawn to conceptual work and is equally interested in the technical complexity of lighting, enjoying the challenge of combining creative vision with practical problem-solving. Her interest in lighting intensified during her final university project, designing a series of luminaires that merged creativity with technical challenges.

She believes lighting similarly shapes three-dimensional spaces, influencing perception, atmosphere, and the way people experience their surroundings.
