Edinburgh, Scotland
KSLD was invited to light the interior and exterior of the Royal Bank of Scotland St Andrew Square branch in Edinburgh, Scotland. The listed building offers a unique spatial experience with its high ceiling dome of deep blue and white stars. The challenge was to light the dome and its sculptural features surrounding it in a way that allowed it to glow while hiding the light fixtures themselves. The space also has consultant desks placed around the edge of the hall that required efficient task lighting in a form that blended together with the area. This was accomplished with custom lamps on both the centre table as well as the outlying consultant desks.
