Working with Michael Laird Architects this was a full refurbishment of a tired office block in Glasgow. It involved forming a new entrance atrium where we created a feature chandelier. This was custom built by Stoane Lighting formed from three dimensional lines drawn into the space of glowing tubes with variable colour temperature. These are controlled using DMX and a presence detector so that they have a gentle random flow until someone enters than the outlines of 55 appear briefly before the random movement resumes.
Other lighting is integrated among the limestone panels and along the edges of timber panels creating defining glowing lines. Pendant globes create a relaxing ambience in the seated waiting areas. The theme of linear lighting and concealed strips continues through to the lift lobbies on each floor.
